1986 facebook song By: Mark Presley

when I'm not practicing magic or trying to come up with new magic effects I'm usually messing around with music. Although I don't consider myself a musician I still like to mess around with my Garageband software. A few years ago I wrote the lyrics of this song. I have been procrastinating for years as far as finishing it up. Today I decided to finish the video editing that goes along with the song.
I think as magicians it's nice to be able to break away from our art and focus on our other talents. Even if they aren't good we can get inspiration from them. Years ago I used to be a DJ. I love the technique of mixing records together and creating a new sound as one record is slowly being dropped into the beat. If done right and the beats match you can have a ongoing song where one comes in right after the other. 
This song I wrote is called the "1986 facebook song" the reason why I chose the 1986 was because that's the year I graduated from high school and I sometimes reflect back wondering what high school would of been like besides parachute pans, members only jackets, Rubics Cube, mullets and 1980's music. 
I think we should try to use our IMAGINATION and CREATIVITY  to it's fullest.  Even if it's something that we really don't think is good. I'm sure somewhere out there someone will respect and appreciate what you do. Be BOLD! take CHANCES! you are a HERO!
