If you listen and watch this video their is a strong message. One of my goals with the Imaginator was create positive messages as well is try to inspire others to use their imagination. Through the years I've heard so many people say that they want to sing, be a dancer or be a philanthropist, but seldom follow through. Some people do follow through by simply being inspired by someone else that is going for their LOVE and DREAM.
I think a lot of time FEAR plays an important role. When you're facing the unknown it can get a little scary. Compound that with the felling of being judged or ridiculed by others can also detour people from going for what they dream.
When you decide to finally take the leap you mighthave some challenges and a learning experiences in front of you. t's best to try to find a mentor, someone that you can relate to and support you and give you advice on your way down your new path.
One thing to think about! Going for your dreams doesn't have a age limit. Sometimes I think people put excuses in their head why they can't do something. Their is plenty of older people that have accomplished their passion much later in life.
When it goes to chassing your DREAM language is no barrier. YOU'RE PASSION and GENUINESS will make up it's own language.
Not to long ago I was trying to pursue a company with being a spokesperson. I really thought that if the Imaginator just got hooked up with the right company things could just take off.
I remember having dinner with one of my high school friends who is a expert in marketing. He has been following my work on this blog and my Imaginator character. I was stuck on how to pursue my character and get noticed. I was very frustrated. Here I was with this great idea and concept and I just kept hitting walls. I thought for sure that when I appeared at the Lego convention that the character would just take off. Especially when people were running up and asking if they could take a picture of me with their child. Of course I said "Yes" but getting hooked up with a big corporate company didn't pan out. So anyway when I got together with my marketing friend he gave me two options to succeed and get my Imaginatior character noticed.
One option, Option One, was the "The fast route" to get to fame and fortune. He said I need to find a company that I thought would fit with the Imaginator and target them. Start making videos using their product and see if I could get a following. My friend informed me that this is the risky option because most companies don't like they may ask you to stop what you're doing. The worst case scenario is that they will demand you to take the videos down and any blog, website material, but if you catch the eye of the right company it could lead up to instant success. The other option. "Option Two" is much more slower. It involves just getting yourself out there in any way you can be it videos, blogs website. It is less of a plan and more of a trial and error thing. Unless your good at approaching companies with your idea it's going to be a hard road to go down. You have to be a business person as well. That's not saying that you won't get hooked up with a company, theatre or contract, but it does help.
For me when I tried to go with option one "The fast route" the company was interested, but it was only for showing support for their product rather then being a spokesperson. I feel that I was kind of in between options one and two, but now I seem to be leaning more toward option two. I'm starting to think that maybe the Imaginator is more interesting with just making it Internet based, but make a few appearances here and there. the whole idea of having a low profile seems to fit his personality more anyway and I think it add more interest and curiosity to people thinking "What's he going to do next or what is he going to talk about now. I think that often we tie DREAMS with MONEY and when the whole emphasis is on that, it could cause problems.
The first goal with going after your dream is to first be happy and love what you do. When you love what you do people will see that and admire you for it as well as give you support.
Be GENUINE and have PASSION for your gift.
Last! Don't be a "What if" don't sit back and wonder if you could of made it, Give it a try as long as you're doing what you love you're always a winner.
I think the hardest thing with having ADD is that everday is a challenge. It's seems like going after your DRAMS is even more difficult, but I'd rather die trying then not try at all.
God luck on your journey.
